About Us

SustEd is a social enterprise established in 2009 by Adam Cade as Director.

​

He was formerly Chief Executive and Founder of StudentForce for Sustainability, and before that he was Head of Community Action in English Nature and Head of Education at the Nature Conservancy Council. He has also worked for the United Nations Environment and Development Committee of the UK and Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF UK).

The idea for the organisation came from the charity that he set up called StudentForce for Sustainability (now Change Agents UK changeagents.org.uk) which trained and supported over 1,000 young 18 to 30 year olds to volunteer and work on short-term sustainable development projects in a range of organisations.

SustEd now always works on projects with its volunteers and European partners. It has run over a dozen such projects.
